Video Games for Education
The University of Southern California is currently using role playing video games to teach ethical skills to students ages 10 to 12 years old. Associate Professor Doug Thomas in the School for Communication believes that video games can teach you more than a book through experience. Students are playing an hour long frankenstein game Modern Prometheus and then discussing the choices made during the game. I greatly agree with these innovative approaches to education and harnessing something kids are interested in such as the internet or video games to get more interest and interaction.
