The software development kit for the Google Open Handset Alliance is scheduled to be released next week. This will create a new and cheaper cell phone industry. And of course Google will be selling ads all along the way. One thing that Google needs to overcome is the rigid stubbornness of mobile carriers. Right now it is their way or the highway and they are only concerned about protecting profits. But if they do not bend they will simply be replaced.
