Microsoft and Viacom have signed a $500 million advertisement deal. Microsoft will be providing ads on the Viacom web sites in the United States. Microsoft will license tv and movie content. Expect Microsoft to immediately begin providing movies on Xbox through the Xbox Live Marketplace. This is a 5 year deal. It is interesting that Viacom has a search advertising deal with Yahoo.
