			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What the Hell Netflix? The web site has been down for over 8 hours.  It is not due to web site maintenance as initially reported.  Netflix Director of Corporate Communications confirms it has nothing to do with maintenance.  &#8220;It was an unanticipated, unplanned outage and we apologize to our customers.&#8221;

<p>At this point and since Netflix refuses to communicate either via <a href="http://twitter.com/netFlix" rel="nofollow">twitter</a>, by their <a href="http://blog.netflix.com/" rel="nofollow">blog</a>, or through other major web sites it must be under attack.  In all likelihood it is a Denial of Service attack similar to that which affected several government web sites as well as media web sites last week.
</p>
<p>Why else would Netflix refuse to communicate and offer only up the pitiful outage message for the last 8 hours:</p>
