Apple Shoots Self in Head with Disasterous iPhone 3g Launch
The word is out. Apple screwed up royally. The iPhone 3G was obviously in demand. But almost no one could get their phone activated. Why? Because activation had to be done through iTunes and the servers all crashed and slowed down to a trickle. Wow what a royal messup. This may effect demand and not only reflects badly on Apple but also resulted in the one thing Apple didn’t want: people going home with unactivated iPhone 3G phones that could be resold, cracked and who knows what else. Yes AT&T and other Apple reps started just sending people home with their unactivated iPhone 3g phones.
