X Prize 100 miles per gallon contest
The X Prize foundation will be sponsoring a new prize next year for a car that can get 100 miles to the gallon. Although the announcement is over a year away, the X Prize has already signed up forty three different teams accross six countries. There will be a multimillion dollar prize for the winner. The favorite so far is Aptera Motors which has a vehicle that can gett 300 miles to the gallon as a gas electrip hybrid. I am looking forward to the automotive revolution and rarely buying gas. Heck give me a giant sollar panel and solar panels on the windows as tinting and I will be happy.
