This ad network has over 80 million impressions per month mainly on smaller blogs. The domain Entrecard.com is also for sale. Monthly revenue from Entrecard.com is only $2,000 a month which is much lower than I ever thought.

The ad network itself is growing at 16% a month with 3 million clicks per month. It was launched by one person almost a year ago by one person.

A venture capitalist deal just fell through and so the owner is selling on Sitepoint.com due to family problems and growth problems. Supposedly the valuation is $8 million and I would guess initial bids would start at $700,000.

But is Graham Really Selling Entrecard or just looking to attract attention and another Venture Capital Company

I would say that there is no way Graham is going to sell Entrecard especially for the lowball offers he will get on Sitepoint during a down economy. This will however get the attention of other VC companies and the original VC running back to the table.

Basically anyone who is using any scripts including browser plugins or things like scripts or grease monkey are being targeted. It is interesting that these are mainly Digg “Power Users” who have huge success promoting stories. Right now there is a big backlash going on over this and the fact that there was no warning and other self proclaimed cheaters such as MrbabyMan were not banned.

Another school of thought is that users banned had something to do with the Sarah Palin e-mails. Is Digg bending to the law again? Digg users notoriously are Democrat and hate Republicans.

Digg has gone through some tough times: Digg being unable to sell themselves and failing to get bought again and again; constantly loosing the fight to spam; good stories just not making the front page; groups gaming the system; innacurate and fake stories; bury teams; comments disputing stories resulting in it being burried; competition from others; etc.

Is Digg dead?
