YouTube has done this before with HBO movies and the like but will now start with CBS shows such as 90210, Star Trek, and more. YouTube will also quickly move to add other companies and studios. We should see hopefully all tv shows on YouTube by next year.

Face it. Firefox 3 and Google Chrome both suck at not caching. Now most people want caching but for those that don’t you are screwed. Like web designers, or web developers. Or users of web based applications. Or visitors to sites that update frequently. How about an option to turn caching off like in IE 7? Sheesh get with the program already.

Google Maps is very popular and easily the best web mapping tool available at no cost. The addition of google adsense to Google Maps opens up a whole new world. The ads appear at the bottom of maps and tend to lean towards restaurants, hotels, and other related services. it is a pretty cool feature for businesses.

If your ads are approved you can now advertise there. The rules are strict but it is a huge place to advertise. I have advertised with Facebook before and it is a terrible experience. The user interface seems better with Myspace but lets see how the results work out first.

After the sucessful run of the Mac ads (although everyone likes the Windows guy a little too much for Mac’s good) Microsoft is fighting back. There is a new commercial with Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld. But so far no one seems to like it.

I think the whole thing is too unbelievable. It looks like more of a shoe or churro commercial than anything else.

After loosing tremendous ground in what I would call an unrecoverable error in judgment by not offering a browser player, Joost is now offering this service to try and catch up to Hulu and YouTube. What any winning service needs to do is offer more content and offer less intrusive ads.

I wish Incognito could run by default. Also I don’t really like the way it handels bookmarks. It is fast and sleek but not compatible with some web sites. I ocassionaly get DNS errors. Also the tabs could use some further improvements. Other than that I was pretty happy overall with it.

All Hail Google Chrome. It is better, faster, cleaner. Just try it and you will instantly see. Shure Chrome uses DNS pre-fetching to look up all links on the webpage; but it does it very well and makes your web experience much faster and more pleasant. It is so good and fast that you have to at least try it. A few more versions and Google Chrome will be the clear winner. I also love the Incognito mode. How do we make that the default?

If you take a look at government web site statistics most show in the range of ten to twenty percent.

Delta is moving forward with Wi-Fi internet on their planes. Maybe the passengers won’t notice that everything is more expensive and they have no food or drinks if they are online right? Well by 2009 all passengers should have access by the end o f2009. Of courst there is a $9-$15 cost per flight but it is well worth it.
