I can not believe that eBay is again changing it’s fees

January 30th, 2008 admin No comments

I can not believe that eBay is again changing it’s fees. eBay really needs to take a look at what they are doing. Although the listing fees were reduced (weren’t they increased recently?) the commission eBay takes has increased. As much as a 67% increase in some commissions depending on the value of the product. This completely sucks. Why would anyone sell something on eBay if all of their profit is taken by eBay? Low end item sellers will be effected the most.

I have used many shopping cart ecommerce software solutions in my years in the web industry. Several times I have looked at moving to an ecommerce hosting platform versus running shopping cart ecommerce software on my own server. The Americommerce shopping cart ecommerce software is a hosted plan that allows for management of multiple shopping cart ecommerce stores from a single management console. The Americommerce shopping cart ecommerce software makes upgrading and adding new features much easier. The Americommerce shopping cart ecommerce software allows you to quickly build your online ecommerce shopping cart, customize the look and feel of your online ecommerce shopping cart, and analyze the statistics and orders that your business receives online. As Dell strikes agreements with Best Buy and Walmart it is the end of an age

January 30th, 2008 admin No comments

As Dell strikes agreements with Best Buy and Walmart it is the end of an age. Dell is closing it’s stores in the United States of America. It appears that Dell is abandoning it’s roots. I always thought Dell was crappy with inferior quality products resulting in frequent part failures. I wonder how many Dell employees are getting layed off?

Google Adsense has put the cobash on Domain Tasting

January 27th, 2008 admin No comments

A popular way to make money is called Domain Tasting. Domain Tasting allows a domain name registrar to buy a domain and after 5 days return it. Someone can make money by running Google Adsense on these domains. Now it would not make a lot of money….unless of course you were doing it for one million domain names at a time. Well Google Adsense has put the cobash on this practice. Google will now block all domains from using Google Adsense if they are less than five days old.

They will never let us have Wi-Fi on Planes

They will never let us have Wi-Fi on Planes

Wi-FiIt looks like internet access on the airlines may never happen. The Wi-Fi testing on Southwest airlines and American airlines still has not gotten underway. Testing on other major airlines is still going very slow with limited speeds and functionality. The system to provide internet to the plane often weights much more than can be accomodated. There are no standards for airline services. It looks like airlines will be charging $10-$15 per flight if they ever get the service working.
